New Hampshire’s bald eagle recovery reaches a milestone

New Hampshire recorded 100 bald eagle fledglings from 64 nests during the 2026 breeding season—the first time the statewide count has reached triple digits since NH Audubon began tracking the species in 1989. The milestone follows decades of monitoring by NH Audubon, New Hampshire Fish and Game, and volunteer nest observers.
